Uthaya talks about how he became an author and shares his views on Malaysia’s political and social issues.
He has written more than 25 books on language, culture, literature, politics and religion. In 1999, Uthaya founded the Kavyan Writers’ Group and, since 2009, he has written columns for various newspapers and online news portals.
He received the Ambassador for Peace Award from the Universal Peace Federation of South Korea in 2008. In February 2023, the Hindusthan Art and Music Society of India conferred on him the Saraswati Samman Award.
