In a landmark opinion, the International Court of Justice has declared that all countries have a legal obligation to protect people and the planet from climate harm.

It’s a call that could reshape how nations act, and how they’re held to account.

Astro Awani’s Melisa Idris speaks with Nithi Nesadurai, the director and regional coordinator of Climate Action Network Southeast Asia, and president of the Environmental Protection Society Malaysia.

She also talks to Redza Zakaria, a senior lecturer at the University of Malaya’s Faculty of Law, and deputy head of maritime law, governance and policy at the university’s Institute of Ocean Earth Sciences.
