In a constitutional democracy, the authority of the law derives not from power, populism or passion, but from reason anchored in justice, fairness and the rule of law.
The Constitution stands as a rational covenant between the state and the people, designed to restrain arbitrariness, temper authority and safeguard fundamental rights.
The law must therefore be applied objectively, proportionately and without prejudice, uninfluenced by political expediency, public sentiment or administrative convenience.
Where emotion supplants reason, constitutional guarantees are diminished. Where discretion operates without rational limits, equality before the law is eroded.

A just constitutional order demands that all actions of the state be guided by reasoned decision-making, grounded in evidence, legality and proportionality.
Enforcement without fairness is oppression. Governance without accountability is abuse. Authority without constitutional restraint is tyranny.
Accordingly, we affirm that the law is reason, free from passion – a principle essential to preserving constitutional supremacy, protecting human dignity and ensuring that justice remains blind to status, influence or fear.
Only when reason governs the law, and the law governs power, can a nation claim fidelity to its constitution and legitimacy in its governance.
