Israeli political commentator Ori Goldberg told Al Jazeera from Tel Aviv that life in Israel has become “exhausting” with a “simmering semi-chaos” as Iran’s persistent, lower-intensity strikes disrupt daily life.

Schools and universities are closed, public institutions lack sustainable formulas, and businesses operate unevenly amid frequent alarms and sirens.

Goldberg noted a “growing sense of insecurity” but said it has not made Israelis more critical of the war – most support it in principle, viewing civilian casualties elsewhere as “the horrors of war”.

He observed deep public mistrust, as achievements claimed in June 2025 appear hollow with Israel destroying the same installations again.

Media coverage is restricted and fragmented, chasing one impact site after another without follow-up.

Goldberg concluded that Iran needs only to launch missiles at strategic times to keep Israeli life destabilised, without inflicting mass damage.
