Thousands of Iranians gathered in the coastal city of Bushehr, home to the country’s sole operational nuclear power plant, in demonstrations and public gatherings as the US deadline set by President Donald Trump approached.
The rallies came amid Trump’s repeated threats to strike Iranian infrastructure, including power plants and bridges, if Tehran did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
