Aliran condemns the blocking of the MyKhas constituency aid portal for Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung from PKR.
Lee is the second PKR government MP now unable to access the portal, which is used to obtain federal constituency development allocations.
Subang MP Wong Chen is the other MP who has been blocked, also without an official reason by the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department.
Both MPs are believed to have attended a Bersama event led by former PKR leaders Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad on 17 May.
Yet no official written explanation has been given for the two MPs’ loss of access to the aid funds.

The government’s continued silence shows an utter lack of accountability and disregard, not just for the MPs concerned but more so for the constituents they represent.
What this means is simple. The constituents of both MPs are being deprived of development funds they desperately need to finance projects and support vulnerable groups.
When allocations are blocked, it is not the MP who suffers but the community itself: schools, NGOs and the people who need help most.
It is bad enough for the Madani government to deprive constituencies represented by opposition MPs of such funds. But it moves to another level when even government MPs face the same treatment because they are seen as more critical, vocal or independent.
Worse, there appear to be double standards at play. Opposition MPs who declared support for the unity government apparently receive allocations. Yet government MPs who merely attended a potential rival party event – without leaving their party or voting against the government – are apparently being penalised.
This approach will only deepen the trust deficit the Madani government already faces.
We call on the government to exercise compassion – a Madani principle – for the sake of ordinary people. Everyone has the same right to development and progress.
The Pakatan Harapan manifesto promised equal constituency development fund allocations for all MPs regardless of party affiliation. This key reform promise must be honoured.
We echo the widespread demand for all MPs and state assembly members to be granted equal federal and state allocations for their constituencies. There should be no discrimination based on party membership or political allegiance.
After all, these are public funds.
