SACKING OF ANWAR
 

Aliran is flabbergasted that a momentous action as the sacking of the Deputy Prime Minister cum Finance Minister is treated as an ordinary event in the life of the nation.  Malaysians deserve an explanation and expect a clarification why such a drastic action is necessary.

The best way to stop rumour mongering is to provide information.  In the absence of any information, wild rumours will gain currency.  We regret that the government’s silence will only fuel such rumour mongering.

Aliran observes that this is the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister to lose his job under the stewardship of Dr. Mahathir.
