Some 18,000 individuals have aready signed an online petition requesting the White House to reveal the identity of “Malaysian Official 1” mentioned in a US Department of Justice civil complaint filed in court following an investigations into money-laundering.

The petition, initiated by an “L.C.” on the White House website on 24 November, requires a target of 100,000 signatures within 30 days to be achieved. If that target is met, the White House would then have to respond or state its position within 60 days.

Many Malaysians have been sharing the link with their friends in the hope of receiving just such an official response from US authorities on the identity of MO1.
