Patriot is utterly disgusted at the conduct and behaviour of some MPs during the opening session of Parliament on Monday, 13 July, which was telecast live in full view of Malaysians of all ages and to many other viewers.
These are the same MPs had caused a ruckus at almost every parliamentary session, but are continuously voted in for reasons best known to their voters. Malaysians are ashamed of the antics displayed by these MPs, who have desecrated the august house to the likes of a wet market, where shouting and the use of abusive language is the norm. They simply ignored the fact that they are lawmakers, some bearing honorific titles and supposedly imbued with the intellect to conduct themselves with decorum, dignity and the full respect of the august house.
How then could they be called Yang Berhormat (honourable) when their behaviour does not reflect a person that is well-tutored, learned and with intellect? Their uncouth behaviour shown in Parliament shows they have none of the prerequisite traits of an MP; hence they do not deserve to be called Yang Berhormat and to be respected.
What is even more disgusting is the sight of them taunting a 95-year-old opposition MP who was once the nation’s prime minister for 22 years, and who had brought about a number of outstanding achievements to the nation, when those that had taunted him were mere political novices. Their behaviour is a bad example to our children; a sight no parents would want to see their children doing to persons who are much older than them.
Patriot urges these rowdy and uncouth MPs to take a lesson from how MPs of our southern neighbour, Singapore, conduct themselves during parliamentary sessions. They conduct themselves with full decorum and respect, not only towards other MPs but also more importantly towards the august house.

If our MPs are unable to learn manners and good behaviour as demanded of them during parliamentary sessions, then they ought to resign, quit politics and cease wasting public money.
It is time for voters, particularly those voting for the first time, to consider the merits and demerits of each individual candidate and to weed out undesirable candidates from being elected as MPs.
Malaysians deserve progressive, intellectual, honourable and well-mannered MPs; certainly not the likes of those MPs who caused a ruckus during the 13 July parliamentary session.

Parliament should provide all the politicians with toothbrushes and toothpaste. Every time any of them uses such fowl language, get them to brush their teeth!
SHOULD BLAME NOT BE WITH THE VOTERS FOR VOTING THEM AND WITH SOME BEING ELECTED REPEATEDLY?
PEOPLE GET LEADERS THEY DESERVE!!!
Way to go PATRIOT. Please continue to be the conscience of all decent Malaysians.
Agreed sir, if MPs being lawmakers do not respect the august house with dignity and decorum, then they dont deserve our respect. This particular group of MPs bring shame to bangsa, agama dan negara. Parasites who live sucking taxpayers money. May Allah have mercy on them.
Some may have been there as elected repeatedly and thus their behaviour acceptable to the voters!!!
