Amy Marcus and Amanda William have announced a unique video competition to raise voters’ awareness of several key issues.
For a long time Malaysians, particularly Sabahans, have suffered from unethical political “frog hopping”, which results in the voters’ mandate through an election being abruptly changed and betrayed.
On 23 August 2020, we observed the 21st anniversary of the original People are the Boss declaration, which was a timely occasion for us to launch the Rakyat is Boss video competition.
A group of individual Sabahans together with their counterparts in peninsular Malaysia have come together to raise voters’ education and awareness with three identified issues through a unique video competition. The three issues are recall elections, a minimum of 30% women’s representation, and equal constitution allocations for government and opposition lawmakers.
