Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO) expresses profound sadness at the passing of one of WAO’s trustees, Datuk Noor Farida Ariffin.
She had served as WAO’s trustee since its inception.
She was the co-founder of G25, an organisation that aims to promote a more inclusive and tolerant Malaysia, respecting the country’s constitutional principles of justice and equality for all its people, regardless of race or religion.
Her dedication and tireless efforts as a trustee and a pioneer member of WAO, particularly in advancing women’s rights, have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Her passion and commitment to empowering women and advocating for their rights was truly inspiring. Her contributions to WAO have helped shape the lives of many, and her legacy will continue to live on through the important work of the organisation.
