The Electoral Commission has just announced that the general election will fall on 9 May, which is a working day.

It is clearly another attempt to undermine voters’ rights after the boundary changes, the passage of the anti-fake news bill, the sizeable number of postal voters and the unfair ruling against alternative parties by deregistration and the prohibition for the opposition parties to use a single logo.
