Gabungan Bertindak Malaysia (GBM), a coalition of 29 NGO members, rooted in East and West Malaysia, lends its passionate pleas to the voices of many concerned and patriotic Malaysians.
We are witnessing how dangerous, unprecedented, and off-limits efforts of politicians and hidden hands are abusing and trashing the collective strengths and opportunities inherent in the long history of our multi-racial and multi-religious society.
We can not deny the blatant instances of how race and religion are being exploited – in fact, desecrated – to serve the obviously power-grabbing agendas of cartels of ambitious politicians.
GBM demands that we put a stop to the diabolic race to power ‘by any means’ to salvage our nation’s future.
GBM remains cognisant and values the many statements issued from the royalty, including calls for tolerance and acceptance and for putting an end to the brewing of any form of racial and religious hatred.

We now plead before the gates of our rulers to be the vanguard of right-minded citizens in battling the racism and religious extremism rooting all over the nation.
GBM stands by our rulers in defending the sanctity and sanity of our nation.
Our pleas to politicians seem to have failed, as many continue to turn racial divides and religious intolerance into currencies for their power-grabbing agendas.
Even the “unity government” sanctioned by the monarchy is not spared.
Our ultimate hope, therefore, is that our constitutional monarchy – with its Council of Rulers – will be our last bastion to redeem, reset and save our nation.
A divided nation along racial and religious parameters is fodder for enemies outside the nation. .
In an increasingly unstable, precarious geopolitical climate, we cannot weaken the internal strengths of our nation. We certainly cannot weaken our sovereign status.
Racism and religious intolerance will also ruffle the people of East Malaysia, who increasingly have vocalised their distaste for a nation sowed with racial and religious bias and hatred, suspicion and selfishness.
GBM wants a united, progressive, peaceful Malaysia made up of harmonious people of multi-racial, multi-religious, multicultural, and multi-traditions of the peninsula, Sabah and Sarawak.
GBM will continue to join forces with all those who love Malaysia, respect the Federal Constitution, and uphold the constitutional monarchy system.
We warn all those adamant about their divisive, diabolic ways to desist as Malaysians unite all across the country to defend the nation’s future.
Sanity must prevail. We therefore plead with the rulers and our government of the day to show us the way forward towards harmonising a nation that is suffering acutely under the hands of ill-willed politicians. – GBM

Our federal govt must urgently take action to win back the votes of people who voted for Right-wing parties as a protest against high inflation, low pay etc. Must seriously consider introducing some kind of (affordable) Universal Basic Income, low priced basic foods shops perhaps coupled with a rationing-cum-voucher system, rent controls etc. Perhaps a new kind of Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia, and a local version of Singapore’s NTUC Fairprice supermarkets (designed to increase competition and lower food prices)?
