The Myanmar security forces continued its deadly crackdown and terrorised protesters in Myeik, Tanintharyi region. The UN must take action and stand with the people of Myanmar.

23 March – 50th day of Myanmar protest
This marks the 50th day since the 1 February coup d’etat in Myanmar. Since seizing power, the junta has terrorised the population of Myanmar, leaving hundreds dead and thousands imprisoned. UN member states must stand with the people of Myanmar and take collective action now..
22 March – Fire devastates Rohingya camps
A massive fire in the Rohingya camps in Bangladesh killed at least 15 people and injured more than 500 others. Barbed-wire fences surrounding the camps blocked people from fleeing the fire.
