1 March – Myanmar’s crackdown on peaceful protesters

Myanmar sees its bloodiest day since the uprising against the 1 February coup began. At least 18 people were killed and scores more injured by Myanmar security forces on 28 February. The world must come together and act to prevent further bloodshed and uphold human rights in Myanmar.

27 February – Myanmar’s UN representative denounces military coup

In a stunning move at the UN General Assembly, Myanmar’s permanent representative to the UN, Kyaw Moe Tun. denounced the military coup. The people have a new ally.

24 February – Impunity in Myanmar

“If you bang pots, I will shoot you in the head,” a Myanmar security officer threatens peaceful protesters. The UN Security Council should impose a global arms embargo against the Myanmar junta.

23 February – 22222 nationwide protest in Myanmar

Today, the 22222 Revolution against the military coup in Myanmar​ was born. The military junta continue to arrest protesters, but they cannot silence a nation.

22 February – Use of force against protesters in Mandalay

Security forces opened fire to disperse protesters, reportedly injuring more than 20 and killing at least two. Myanmar should respect the right to peaceful assembly and reverse the coup.
