I just would like to share my personal experience of being touched by the truly muhibah (goodwill) spirit displayed by a caring young couple in Penang yesterday.
I was at the Bukit Gambir Road near Taman Pekaka during peak traffic evening traffic when my car engine overheated in the middle of a junction with traffic lights.
A young motorcyclist, an ethnic Malay, with a pillion passenger stopped his bike and helped to push my car. This allowed me to steer my vehicle manually to the side of the road and allow traffic to flow smoothly.
I was so worried about his safety while he pushed my car from behind, as many motorcyclists were zipping by. His young wife rode his bike and followed my car.

The couple were kind enough to accompany me while I waited for my mechanic to turn up.
Both of them are exemplary examples of true Muslims who help people in distress, regardless of ethnicity and religion.
In fact, we have many kind Muslim friends around whom we regard as brothers and sisters, and we care and help each other with no discrimination or racial and religious boundaries.
It is the political ‘devils’ who have duped many with their false narratives. They have sown disunity among the people and hatred towards ‘the other’.
But my pleasant unexpected encounter with that couple has made me believe we already have unity. We already have caring people who genuinely reflect the ‘one family’ spirt.
May God bless this young couple for their kind deed.

Yes a good experience . It’s a terrific show of good neighbourhoodness. Probably this couple had similar experience and learned from it . Pray these caring for neighbours swells among All Malaysians . God bless them 🙏🙌
