A satirical look at Chin Peng’s and Lee Kuan Yew’s ‘close relatives’ in Malaysia

Just think of the years Kit Siang lost without paying homage to his lost 'ancestors'!

Did Lim Kit Siang miss out on meeting his long-lost 'relatives'?!

It would be a momentous surprise for DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang to wake up one morning to find out that he is a close relative to the famous former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, and the infamous former leader of the Communist Party of Malaya, the late Chin Peng (born Ong Boon Hua).

All these revelations had me baffled big time, because all this while I never once thought that Chin Peng’s full name was Lim Chin Peng or Lee Kuan Yew’s was Lim Kuan Yew.

Had it not been for the young PHD holder and MP from the north, who goes by the name of Siti Mastura Muhammad, Lim Kit Siang would have gone away without knowing this.

Just think of the years that Kit Siang lost without paying homage to his lost ancestors or the many missed reunion dinners. It is utterly sad indeed.

OK, let’s put jokes aside. Either the history books had taught me wrong or the PhD holder and MP Siti Mastura Muhammad pulled a fast one on the Lim family and us.

Obviously, it is a commonly held belief that Malaysian history is prone to changes, but it only happens every five years during the heat of election campaigns, which are solely made by politicians and not historians.

Seemingly in the case of our honourable PhD and MP Siti Mastura, the speed of these historical changes was blistering fast. In just one night’s ceramah (public rally), she managed to conjoin three families into one. If this is not lightning fast, furious and fake, I don’t know what is?

I do not know whether she is faking the facts about Kit Siang’s family link to Chin Peng and Lee Kuan Yew or she really believes in it.

If she really believes in the link, she is ignorant, and she urgently needs to go back to her university for a refresher course.

If she is faking it, then she is a dubious politician.

Which is which? I do not know.

Anyway, Perikatan Nasional politicians are plenty smart fellows: they know the fastest way and the easiest way to demonise the DAP is to spread false and fact-free narratives to the public that the DAP is a communist party, anti-royalty, anti-Malays and anti-Islam. No deep thinking needed. It is as simple as that.

Actually, this persuasion is the trademark of Barisan Nasional and is a must-use construct for every general election.

I hope to see the day in the near future when BN takes PN to court for this blatant ‘patent infringement’.

Well it has becoming like a joke that most of the politicians in PN and PAS make statements ridiculing their intelligence and undermining the multi racial and religion composition of Malaysia. This has to stop and the authorities have to take drastic action against Siti Mastura to remind all politicians that it is not acceptable to create disunity and hatred amongst malaysian who want to live in peace and harmony.
Its been over 60 years and why now with the new breed of young politicians who love to distort everything racial and religious for their political gain. Reprimanding and charging her for her malicious statement should be a determent to all budding politicians to stop making statements to create tensions and hurt among us.
