Malaysia mourns the loss of a principled politician, Salahuddin Ayub

The untimely demise of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Salahuddin Ayub came as a shock to many.

His untimely passing is a genuine loss to the nation. Only 61, the late politician was well known and respected for his principles.

I should know too, for he was in my media training class way back during the time of the iconic late ‘Tok Guru’ Nik Aziz Nik Mat.

A sharp and alert, composed and soft-spoken but firm man, Salahuddin drew my immediate attention in that class, and I rated him as a promising politician.

In these times, when we see several unprincipled, ambitious, rogue politicians who have no sense of guilt in exploiting race, religion and the royal institution to secure power and amass jaw-dropping wealth, the late Salahuddin stood out for his willingness to go against the tide.

May his soul rest in peace and hopefully, the people of Malaysia and especially the Madani-driven “unity government” will accord him a timely honour.

Instead of making a political statement, we expect the authorities to investigate the cause of his death. He appears as one at the prime of health, most unreasonable that he can die of brainn heamourage???
The VAKSIN factor is conveniently overlooked, or perhaps the family don’t want to reveal this matter for insurance purposes. Can experts claim, vaksin has nothing to do??. Can Aliran take a deeper look?

How does one conclude that the whole country mourns the loss of any politician or leader worldwide when the only ones who mourne may be those related or connected of benefitted from the position of the deceased as there will be some other person who will take over his postion and power which will then benefit to the successor and his family/friends who may profit.

Remember THE KING IS DEAD LONG LIVE THE KING saying.

Sympathies to the deceased and his family and welcome to the successors.

Bless all
