A poem reflecting on life’s journey into the beyond, by Mohd Nasir Hashim.
In this ever-changing
world of ours
you are ever free
to dictate the future
Yet we face the
solemn truth
That we are in
transit
On a journey to
fathom existence
At times sliding on a
slippery path
to differentiate
choice and destiny
We are born today
yet gone tomorrow
So don’t cling onto
this material world
ever so tightly
For it cannot
compensate the
emptiness within
For Love is the only
mighty door
to grace Wisdom,
Beauty and
Majesty
And that day will
surely come
When we must bid
farewell and transit
into another world
So dry away your
tears my love
And welcome this
cycle of life
To usher the dawn
of a brave new
world offering
untold imaginings
We still see you and
love you and
forever within your
heart of hearts
Longing, cajoling
and consoling
Prodding you to move
on thru an enlightened
path of intent
So don’t distress … Don’t cry
for nobody dies
We will meet again
someday
to share our joys,
laughter and
sorrows of
yesteryears
For life is too beautiful
to let it fade into
nothingness
Ever in tune within
the chimes of time
To ponder upon
this elusive reality
called existence
So gaze upon the
horizons and
reflect upon
yourselves
And you will surely
recognise the
essence and
intention of the
One Absolute Truth
(Al-Haq)
