Muhyiddin’s observation that Pakatan in-fighting had reached critical levels is a case of the pot calling the kettle black, suggests Angeline Loh.
Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin remarked that dissension and in-fighting within the opposition Pakatan Rakyat was reaching critical levels. He made this observation after commenting on the current MCA factionalism and Umno’s position as overlord of the Barisan Nasional as he tried to spatter political mud on PR and Pas, in particular.
Not surprisingly, Nik Aziz, spiritual leader and adviser of Parti Islam SeMalaysia (Pas) candidly denied the allegation although Pas was tangled in a spat a short time ago that was briefly in the public-eye.
The punchline of the joke is that the internal squabbles and factionalism within the MCA, MIC and PPP have become a huge headache for Umno. The Barisan Nasional is now wallowing in the deep mud and sludge of internal power struggles. This has become a top hit with the public, who are in the habit of enjoying such sandiwaras and soap operas.

Every day, the public looks forward in anticipation to this continuing saga, especially when ‘cry-baby’ ministers cannot stop sobbing into Premier tissues, just because they were dropped from the MCA Central Committee. Like the spoilt children of some of the rich and the influential, their ‘parents’ (backers and patrons) dab their tears, pat their hands and beg their cronies to re-instate them and console the defeated ‘cry-babies’.
The saga continues…
