Yes, Pakatan Harapan has won. So let’s now move on to make Malaysia a better place for our children. That is all we want from PH.
Apparently, Pakatan Harapan drew votes from a wide spectrum of people across the country.
First, we have to give credit to Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) for tilting states like Johore, Negri Sembilan, Malacca and Kedah towards PH. The credit for the near clean sweep in Penang and Selangor should go to all four: Parti Amanah Negara, the Democratic Action Party, Bersatu and Parti Keadilan Rakyat.
Bersatu was able to penetrate into the difficult right-wing terrain of the four states that brought an end to Umno’s domination.

The fact that Dr Mahathir Mohamad was slotted to be the seventh prime minister was an advantage to PH. His ability to galvanise PH into a single strong cohesive force by bringing together all the opposition parties and NGOs to contest under one banner should be the most important factor for us to ponder and appreciate.
1MDB, Felda and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) were the three most important issues that eventually felled BN.
But it was Mahathir who went to the ground to made these issues easy for the voters in the kampungs and Felda to understand while Najib and clique spoke from far away through TV3, TV2, TV1, Utusan, The Star, New Straits Times, Astro, Berita Harian and other media. Phrases like “pencuri duit rakyat” and “Najib/Rosmah kaya/curi duit dan dedak”, simple as they were, resonated with rural voters. Had Mahathir spoken like Arul Kanda, the rural voters would not have voted PH.
Politicians should stop harping on who should receive the loudest clap for the PH victory. Please grow up and work for the people who voted for PH and for those who did not.
If credit is to be apportioned between leaders, Mahathir would definitely get a large portion of it, not forgetting Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang and others for their immense sacrifices that brought their parties to victory.

Absolutely agree with the author. It is the joint efforts of all parties, not forgetting the voters, that won the election.
I m impressed, so far, with choices of the right person for the right job from Mahatheir. Trust him. Stop wasting Dr. M’s energy n time.
