Not only have current court trials been ineffective as powerful warnings to all those intending to break the law, it now also looks as if corruption is fast becoming part of the national culture.
It is high time for the prime minister to step up and show some real patriotism by combating corruption. He should call for an immediate end to politicians and top civil servants getting involved in corrupt practices and easy profiteering. The private sector should also not be spared if they are involved in unethical business deals.
Any politician, top civil servant or captain of industry who smears the good name of Malaysia through corrupt practices should not go unpunished.
The nation has entered a crippling stage of corruption. The failure to even admit this goes against the national interest.

Politicians will care for the people and the country. Political crooks will care for themselves and plunder the people and country wealth to fill their bank accounts. So how many politicians are there these days???
