The Star and its masters would be absolutely foolish to think that Malaysians are taken up with all their crappy advertisements, writes Pro-Change.
I still browse through The Star, an MCA newspaper, to confirm my thoughts on the level of stupidity of the mainstream media and to remind myself why we need to rid ourselves of BN.
The Star has taken the liberty to publish full page advertisements threatening the people of Malaysia that a vote for DAP is a vote for Pas. Any right-thinking Malaysian who cares for the country would ask “We know that. So what?” They are part of a coalition that is going to bring about the much needed changes in Malaysia.
One of the advertisements that appeared in The Star, 23 April 2013, Page 25, questions why DAP is “silent” over the many issues listed? With every aspect of the mainstream media dominated by the BN, there is never a chance for the DAP to respond. Even if The Star attempts to publish any responses, it will be much twisted. Such low-down tactics condoned by The Star are an insult to our intelligence. Shame on you, Wong Chun Wai!

How about giving the DAP an opportunity to respond? Perhaps the advertisement below can be published in The Star to “break” DAP’s silence?
Racism is one major factor affecting Malaysia. I would like to know, why the silence from BN component parties about Ibrahim Ali and Zulkifli Noordin’s nomination as candidates this GE13?
Umno youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin called for action to be taken against Ibrahim Ali for ‘racist’ statement (The Star Online, 20 June 2011, ). Khairy has kept totally silent about his stand on Ibrahim’s nomination. He must have changed his mind about Ibrahim Ali being a racist since June 2011. If Khairy now supports Perkasa, he should make it known to Malaysians via whatever media available.
In a posting on the Gerakan website dated 17 December 2012, Gerakan Youth deputy chief Oh Tong Keong says that Gerakan will not stop its criticism towards Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali’s habit of constantly bringing up racist remarks especially the May 13 incident to frighten the non-Malays.
So now what is Oh’s stand? Will Penang BN chief Teng Chang Yeow break the stony silence about Perkasa’s nomination for candidacy? Obviously, Gerakan supports racism.
It is no wonder why so many people condemn The Star. It is totally unethical in its reporting and practices. The Star and its masters would be absolutely foolish to think that Malaysians are taken up with all the crappy advertisements. DAP is NOT silent. Watch Ubah TV and read online news portals….. And to The Star, stop insulting our intelligence!

Wong chun Wai, you are a disgrace to the Chinese community in Malaysia. You are nothing but a running … of BN/UMNO. It is the worst excuse to say that you are doing it for the sake of the income as you have shown that you have no principle …
You are given the power of the pen and you abuse it. You will continue to fool some of the people who put their trust in you and you failed them.
Look at the number of Star Newspapers and NST ones that were returned unsold every day.
WONG CHUN WAI, you are A HYPOCRITE & A COWARD!!! …
The DAP respond should be “A vote for UMNO is a vote for Perkasa AND Zulkifli Nordin”, not the other way round.
