One after another, our establishments and institutions are slowly becoming centres pandering to insidious propaganda of a government that is tottering on its last legs of power, observes gregwar.
They are turned into indoctrination centres for a regime that has lost all vestiges of credibility.
The latest episode that I am referring to is the selective screening on 9 March 2013, of the now infamous film ‘Tanda Putera’ to the students of Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA). The Film Censorship Board gave the controversial movie its seal of approval although the Cabinet had ruled it as not appropriate for public screening.
This film is a distortion of history, made with the overt purpose of inciting racial hatred and fear, and intended as Umno’s secret weapon to swing electoral support on the eve of GE13.
This movie, made with government funding, has been described as devoid of any sense of truth and maligning an entire minority community.

It is said to contain historical distortions and falsehoods about the role of this particular community in the May 13 incident. Now, that same film is used to poison the minds of our youth in this prestigious centre of learning. It is reported that merit points are given to students for watching the movie.
On 18 February 2013, this same documentary film, which some people claim is so badly made, was shown to another selected restricted audience consisting of one race at a Felda settlement. The same film is slated to be screened at all Felda settlements and other venues restricted to one particular race as well. Clever tactics to poison the minds of the innocent settlers and people in communities whose sources of information is already limited to the one-sided TV stations and party-owned mainstream media (MSM)
The Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (Fama), an agency set up by the government using taxpayer’s money, recently barred a non-Malay reporter from covering a motivational forum/talk attended by a group from one particular race.
This blatant act by Fama authorities has created a lot of suspicion about its motive in holding such an event restricted to one race/religion. Aren’t there entrepreneurs from other races in the country’s agro-based industries and businesses who need to be motivated? Are they not paying taxes to the government and contributing to national development?
Another government institution, the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, banned its staff from pasting opposition party stickers or displaying its flags on their vehicles. HKL director Zainnah Mohd Zain in a 4 March 2013 circular had directed all staff not to place opposition party logos or flags on their vehicles. It is stated that “(t)he directive is implemented with immediate effect. All heads of department are required to advise their subordinates to follow the directive and ensure they do not violate this. Disciplinary action can be taken on those who violate this directive,” Zainnah stated in the circular.
Shouldn’t the KL Hospital Director, just do the job that she is paid to do? Clearly she seems to have crossed the line. She should stop politicking and concern herself with how to improve conditions in the nation’s premier hospital and to be more caring to her staff and the patients. She should not become the tool of a particular political party.
Last but not least, we come to the most famous or shall I say notorious of them all – Biro Tata Negara (BTN), the National Civics Bureau. This institution was set up by the government with the stated objective of nurturing a spirit of patriotism and commitment to excellence among Malaysians and to train leaders and future leaders to support the nation’s development efforts.
But BTN has long, since its establishment in 1974, deviated from its objectives. Its programmes are now controversial and extremely racial in nature. Many accuse them of explicitly promoting ketuanan Melayu and blindly supporting the governing Barisan Nasional (BN) government. Some have even termed it as The Ethnic Hate Machine where participants are indoctrinated with racial slurs and hate messages towards certain sectors of population and to alienate the majority race from minority groups. This department is bestowed with millions of ringgit of public money anually (RM74m in 2009 alone).
Finally, I end this with the latest racial rants by the master and the author of hate mongering in this country, the nation’s longest serving prime minister. At the closing of the ‘Save Selangor’ campaign organised by Selangor Perkasa, Dr Mahathir Mohamad dropped all pretence of promoting a united nation or 1 Malaysia in going for the Malay votes. He slammed the Opposition for listening and accommodating the views and needs of the non-Malays.
“Prior to this, when Selangor was under the Barisan Nasional (BN), we could see the economic growth was prolific and the Malays and Bumiputras had a place, so we lived more happily than previously.
“If the opposition wins and administers Selangor, the position of the Malays and Bumiputras will be shunted aside. Because of this, we must act quickly to convince the people of Selangor to topple the opposition government and replace it with BN which is led by Umno.
“Our sacrifices will be in vain if Selangor cannot be saved,” remarked Mahathir.
Dr Mahathir said the weakness of the two Malay parties in the opposition resulted in disrespect for the race and risked the special privileges of the Malays and Bumpiutra being done away with.
“But because the leadership of the Malays in the opposition pact is very weak, they often just follow their colleagues including when pressed for the word Allah to be used (in the Bible).”
He concluded, “If we are not careful, we will lose altogether our rights on our own soil and they (the opposition) will get rid of all efforts to develop the Malays and Bumiputras.”
No sugar-coating. Straight forward racial rants from the master of the trade.

AGENDA RAKYAT - Lima perkara utama

- Lawan rasuah dan kronisme
I like to suggest that the government make “the Malay Dilemma” compulsory study instead of “INTERLOCK” It will serve UMNO’s agenda … That way the Chinese and hindu indians will understand why “affirmative action” is still needed.
