Um . . who’s calling who?

In this poem, Cecil Rajendra takes to task a certain race-based party for labelling others as racists. It should take a long hard look at itself in the mirror.

What moral right

has any ethnic-

rooted, chauvinistic

political party . . .

in power for more

than half a century . . .

which has never

opened its doors . . .

or, fielded a single

candidate in any

election other than

one of its own race . . .

to chide, castigate

upbraid any body

group, organisation

or political party

for being racist?
