The rakyat will stand by Anwar as long as he holds on to the principle of reforming Malaysia, writes JD Lovrenciear.

The expose related to the sacking of certain PKR politician/s and the continuing defiance displayed by certain others within PKR may actually be good for PKR.

It gives Anwar Ibrahim the golden opportunity to make PKR stand tall in the eyes of citizens who desire reforms, without compromise.

Those politicians who have no shame in digging in to oust Anwar must be told in no uncertain terms that the spirit of reformation is the lifeline of PKR.

All these exposes may be helpful to Anwar too. It gives him the much-needed opportunity to put his foot down and live up to his call.

The rebel groups within PKR should know that whatever they use to camouflage their real intent will not hold up to the scrutiny of voters who had the courage to stand up against the past regime, which had hoodwinked the public for decades.

Hence, even a breakaway splintering of PKR could be a blessing. The rakyat will stand by Anwar as long as he holds on to the principle of reforming Malaysia to match the global aspiration for a liberating democracy that builds humanity beyond the barriers of race, culture, religion and social strata.

Anwar has to prioritise reforming himsellf, his lieutanants and blind loyalists who are making him looking like all he wants is to be PM and nothing else, regardless of all the scandals amongst PKR.

The public’s flavor to him has waned as he seems to not be contributing to the government at all.

Is it not a common perception worldwide that it is culture that success in politics may be dependent on corrupting the supporters for their votes and this culture may continue to expand like a disease as long as those alleged to be corrupt [and even charged] can continue to be free on small bail amounts and there is little chance of any closure or deterrent punishments like long prison terms and heavy financial penalties?
POLITICS MAY MAKE ANY/EVERY HONEST PERSON TO BE CORRUPT IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT and one wants to be a SUCCESSFUL POLITICIAN THEN MUST BE CORRUPT AS THE TWO GO TOGETHER. RARE IS ONE WHO CAN RESIST!!!!
