Thankfully, was not a witness to the Holocaust.
Unfortunately, now an impotent witness to a genocide!

This nagging feeling of hopelessness,
Has diminished me as a sentient being.

Are the victims of Gaza,
Any less human than those at Auschwitz?

How can humans continue to rationalise,
And justify this inhumanity?

In the name of their gods, their holy books,
And their blind, programmed hatred of the Other?

Tell me which Omni-being sanctions,
This unconscionable carnage?

Please, please, please … tell me!
