1988 judicial crisis, Part 2: Something’s brewing in KL – Justice George Seah

The late Supreme Court judge George Seah recounts events from 1988 when Lord President Salleh Abas was suspended.

Seah suggests he was deliberately sent to Kota Baru to remove him from Kuala Lumpur during crucial judicial proceedings. He emphasises that the top judge is not subordinate to the prime minister, and judges maintain independence.
