An 83-year-old retired priest has been arrested for challenging the UK’s newly imposed ban on the pro-Palestinian organisation Palestine Action, just hours after the group was officially banned by the government.
Reverend Sue Parfitt, from Bristol, was taken into custody for holding a sign that read: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.”
She was one of over 27 individuals arrested recently for acts of protest against the group’s proscription.
