With travel restrictions now in place across most of the globe, higher education institutions are facing an uncertain future.

To look into this, we speak to Prof Zaharom Nain, chairman, of the Malaysian Academic Movement (Gerak) and Aliran executive committee member, and Prof Pradeep Nair, deputy vice-chancellor of Taylor’s University, about the support needed for universities, revenue threats, and how to close the gap for students whose needs are not entirely met by e-learning.
