Five months ago, on 28 February, this reckless and ill-judged act of aggression against Iran and its allies began.
The war has achieved neither success nor resolution. There are no signs of an end. None at all.
It is a deeply flawed campaign by the US and Israel, creating more animosity, division and destruction.
The Houthis have now joined the fray. Their tactics against the Saudis have sharpened and grown better co-ordinated. Where there had been an uneasy peace, new seeds of conflict have been sown.

US President Donald Trump’s talk of a third term for himself threatens the onset of a third world war. The Trump administration must be restrained from its reckless and ruinous course.
It is for the people of the US to take the actions needed to render Trump irrelevant in world affairs. Sanity must prevail.
