BFM looks at the prevalence of the culture of “publish or perish” that has forced academicians to publish their research on pay-to-publish journals, further hurting the reputation of universities in Malaysia. Prof Zaharom Nain, chairperson of the Malaysian Academics Movement (Gerak) gives us his insight on this matter.
