Electoral reform advocacy group Bersih has called out the “Madani” (civil and compassionate) government for appointing two members of the Electoral Commission without an open and transparent process, as promised in previous election manifestos.

BFM speaks to Ooi Kok Hin, the executive director of Bersih, on how the selection process should be reformed, especially now that the post of Electoral Commission chair has become vacant.
