The Umno general assembly concluded last Saturday. Almost 3,000 delegates convened and heard from party leaders about the direction of the party.
The biggest development was the passing of a resolution to not have the Umno’s top two positions open for contest in its upcoming party election.
But will this sit well with the grassroots and can the party recover from its poor performance in the 2022 general election?
