This ex-farmer was not only forcefully evicted, he was arrested when he made a police report to challenge the eviction.
When he returned to the farm after a night in prison, he said the farm was damaged almost beyond repair.
Today, the farm has been completely cleared, and will soon be a residential area.
Hundreds of informal generational farmers across the country face similar evictions, as state governments alienate land to developers and government-linked companies – even as food prices continue to rise.
