Thousands of activists from over 50 countries have gathered in Cairo to participate in the Global March to Gaza, aiming to break Israel’s humanitarian aid blockade on the besieged enclave.
Since 2 March, Israel has halted all aid – including food, medicine and fuel – into Gaza, leaving over two million Palestinians facing acute hunger.
The blockade has resulted in nearly half a million people in a catastrophic state of starvation and malnutrition.
