Iceland’s Foreign Minister Thorgerdur Katrín Gunnarsdóttir has delivered a stinging rebuke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN General Assembly.
The confrontation erupted after Netanyahu branded the dozens of international diplomats who staged a mass walkout during his speech as “moral cowards”.
Taking to the podium, the Icelandic foreign minister completely flipped the script, firing back with a blistering retort that “moral cowards are those who refuse to sit down” for peace.
In a fiery address, she condemned the repeated destruction of Gaza and lambasted the actions of the Israeli government.
