A poem by Mohd Nasir Hashim

Behold … the hands of
unity
  shaping the moving
    image of eternity

Feel … this inner strength
  crackling like wildfire
     blinding the gaze of
bigotry and
misplaced priorities

O … Women of Mother Nature
This world is made
upon your mercy
To nurture conscious
generations
   damning putrid
discriminations

So grace every inner strength
  that comes your way
Expose the hypocrisy
   of demented souls
Trapped in prisons of yester years
    of patriarchal
religiosity and
sexual perversity

Yet seeds of anger reverberate
   endlessly within the
deep recesses of
existence
Against gender discrimination
    and maiming
equality

So hail the blessed rebirth
of creative identity
and reshaping the
unity of an
enlightened world
