It is being called a “Code Red for Humanity”.

The latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, prepared by 234 scientists from 66 countries, highlights how human influence has warmed the climate at a rate unprecedented in at least the last 2,000 years.

This sobering assessment – endorsed by the world’s governments – is the first major review of the science of climate change since 2013.

What does it predict and what needs to be done to prevent more catastrophe? BFM gets the help of Meenakshi Raman, the president of Sahabat Alam Malaysia (SAM) and head of programmes at Third World Network, to break it down for us.
