I did not catch Prof. Edmund’s conclusion. However, if we are to look at the political parties in Malaysia, I will venture to say there is a dire lack of fresh talent. Yes, it may not be a valid argument but is not that evil old ex-dictator still calling the shots in one party? So is political financing a reason for the situation? I will venture to say so – yes!!

Politics in most if not all may be a perceived to be a business which require initial capital and if successfull can provide high financial returns to own self and families and friends or others who may be willing to pay to those in power. Bless all
