In partnership with Memo, human rights Lawyer Ousman Noor poses a question to Israelis: if Israeli intelligence is able to target Hezbollah leaders all over Lebanon, why is it unable to find 97 hostages in the tiny Gaza Strip?

Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza started on 27 October 2023, and it has been mapping and carrying out surveillance in the enclave – roughly 41km long and 10km wide (about a fifth of the size of London) – for decades.

And yet it is still unable to find the Israeli hostages, which is one of its key reasons for continuing the assault on Gaza.
