In a few months’ time, six states in Malaysia will be holding elections, namely Selangor, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah.

But what needs to be done by the government and the Election Commission to ensure an inclusive, accessible and smooth voting process?

Bersih recently released an in-depth election observation report on the 2022 general elections, in which it discusses some of the gaps in the way elections are currently carried out, as well as some recommendations for the government and the Election Commission.

BFM talks to Bersih chairman Thomas Fann about this report.
