Following the public uproar over Al Jazeera’s documentary on the treatment of undocumented migrants during the movement control order, the Immigration Department director general stated that foreign nationals who make defamatory comments about the country will have their passes revoked. BFM speaks with New Sin Yew about the lawfulness of this move and then discusses the recent clampdowns on activists and journalists with Jahabar Sadiq.
