The Ministry of Home Affairs said that it would summon Malaysiakini and China Press after the two media outlets published articles on the deputy inspector general of police’s remarks over a rape threat against a teen.
Bukit Aman alleged that the articles used confusing headlines and did not report the full context of his comments.
BFM speaks to Wathshlah Naidu, executive director of the Centre for Independent Journalism, for her thoughts on the move.
