Over the weekend, reports emerged that Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is seeking to replace Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof as Dewan Rakyat Speaker. The motion, which also includes Deputy Speaker Nga Kor Ming, is set to be tabled on 13 July, when Parliament reconvenes. For a better understanding of the constitutionality of the move, and how it will affect the no-confidence vote also expected to be tabled in this parliamentary sitting, BFM reached out to constitutional lawyer Lim Wei Jiet, for his thoughts.
