A new eye-opening investigative report by MalaysiaKini has shed light on the substantial pensions awaiting elected representatives after their tenure.

The report highlights how some MPs are eligible for more than one pension due to their holding different positions across their careers.

Should MPs be entitled to multiple pensions for the various roles they have served?

Astro Awani’s Melisa Idris speaks to Malaysiakini’s Ooi Choon Nam and Aidila Razak, as well as Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, MP.

If memory serves me right one politician was collecting eleven pensions all of which were at one time tax exempt until limited to one pension tax exempt decision by Dr.M some decades ago and others as taxable income. Apologies if any error and willing to be corrected.
Bless all
