The electoral reform group Bersih has proposed new guidelines to curb the abuse of “incumbency advantage” and has urged the federal government to follow them during the campaign period for the upcoming elections in six states.
BFM talks to Bersih chairperson Thomas Fann about whether these guidelines can foster a healthier electoral culture and make parties and politicians more accountable.
