Commenting on a string of activists being hauled up for police investigations after three recent gatherings, Aliran’s Khoo Ying Hooi asserts it is important for Malaysians to continue to enjoy the freedom of peaceful assembly.

Everyone has a role and responsibility, and so the right to organise rallies is not something that should be confined to NGOs.
