
The “Penang South Islands” reclamation project recently received environmental impact assessment approval from the Department of Environment, to the dismay of fishing community associations and environmental activists who have long protested the mega-development.

As to the possible cause of driving the fish away for fishermen, the latter can go further out to sea to catch the fish. The latter is not going to die without that part of the sea occupied by the three proposed islands. Look positive and to the future of Penang!
