Malaysia recorded a dismal performance, plummeting 34 spots to 107th place in the rankings with our overall score also falling by 10 points to 52.

Gayathry Venkiteswaran, an assistant professor at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, tells us the reasons for this decline and what the government should focus on to improve those rankings.
